Heat advisory now in effect from 11 am this morning to 8 pm this evening.
A very warm day on tap Wednesday as an upper level ridge of high pressure expands eastward into north Texas. During the early afternoon heat indices of 100 to 104 will be common but as the seabreeze spreads inland expect the dewpoints to increase and combining these higher dewpoints and the peak heating of the day the heat indices should hover in the 107 to 109 degree range over the advisory area. The heat indices should drop back below 99 after 8 pm, except along the immediate coast.
