Close your eyes make a wish and open your heart. Experience the warmth of the holiday season when you see Festival Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker returns to the stage in December for the fifteenth annual performance of the holiday classic at Brazoswood in Lake Jackson, beginning December 5th, and Lone Star College-Montgomery in The Woodlands December 12th with both evening and matinee performances.
Our production features Tchaikovsky's beloved score, outstanding professional guest artists, talented members of Festival Ballet, as well as some of the most promising young dancers from across the Greater Houston area. The Nutcracker provides a performance opportunity for aspiring young dancers to appear on stage with professional costumes, lighting, and international Guest Artists.

Historic Downtown Rosenberg is gearing up for the 10th Annual “Ride to Rosenberg” car show Saturday, October 17, 2009. This years' show boasts a new location and will wrap around Another Time Soda Fountain & Cafe at 3rd St and Ave. F. As always it will feature pre-1972 Classics, Hot Rods, Customs, and Rat Rods.
It's free family fun all day long for spectators. Cars will be on display from 10am - 4pm followed by the Annual Award Ceremony. Guests can look over the lineup of beauties competing in 15 classes. Shop the downtown merchants, enjoy a meal at a downtown restaurant or take a tour of Rosenberg's Railroad Museum. Proceeds will benefit the Downtown Merchants of Rosenberg for the beautification of the historic district.

Closing out the 2009 concert series on August 21 is a band new to the Friday Night Concert series, THE SUGARLAND BRASS COMPANY. Sponsored by Bill Butler, Sugar Land Brass Company is a five piece, "DEEP DISH" Chicago Style R&B revue band who plays a variety of crowd-pleasing R&B favorites.
The concert will start at 7 pm, weather permitting, and will be held at Third Street Park between Avenues F and G in the Historic Downtown District. There are no provisions to relocate the concert to an alternate site should inclement weather force the cancellation of the event. Another Time Soda Fountain & Café will be open for pre-concert dining. Music enthusiasts should bring their lawn chairs, family, friends, and love of music.
